Day 5: Siem Reap – Angkor Thom – Ta Prohm – Angkor Wat (UNESCO World Heritage Site) – Apsara Dinner

Day 6: Siem Reap – Cycling – Cooking class – Tonle Sap Lake

Enjoy a cycling excursion through the countryside, discovering local daily life and riding along the temple routes of Angkor, with beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes of Siem Reap.

Next, visit a local family home, where you will be introduced to traditional Cambodian culinary preparations. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, take part in preparing your lunch, which you will then enjoy together with your hosts.

In the afternoon, arrive at the Chong Kneas fishing village, located on the edge of Tonle Sap Lake, before beginning a boat excursion on the lake. Tonle Sap is home to a remarkably rich and diverse ecosystem.

End the day with a beautiful sunset at Phnom Krom, known as the “small hill,” one of the area’s most peaceful spots.

Day 7: Siem Reap – Roluos Group – Flight - Phnom Penh

Located about 15 km from Siem Reap, visit the Roluos Group, a former Hindu religious center dating back to the late 9th century and marking the beginnings of Khmer architecture.

Explore the three main temples dedicated to Shiva:

  • Preah Ko Temple
  • Lolei Temple
  • Bakong Temple

The Roluos Group preserves the remains of Hariharalaya, the first great capital established in the Angkor region.

Free time at leisure until the transfer to Siem Reap Airport for your flight to Phnom Penh.

Upon arrival, meet your guide and driver and transfer to your hotel.

Day 8: Phnom Penh – City tour

City tour of the Cambodian capital, which has preserved much of its charm with elegant colonial buildings, wide boulevards, and fine examples of traditional Khmer architecture.

  • Visit the National Museum of Fine Arts.
  • Visit the Royal Palace, showcasing classic Khmer architectural design.
  • Explore the Silver Pagoda, home to remarkable Buddha statues made of emerald, gold, and diamonds.
  • Visit Wat Phnom, the oldest temple in the city and the origin of Phnom Penh’s name, including the statue of Lady Penh.

In the afternoon, visit:

  • The Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (former S-21 Prison), a former detention center during the Pol Pot regime
  • The Choeung Ek Killing Fields, a memorial site reflecting Cambodia’s recent history

Day 9: Phnom Penh – Free time – Shared Boat – Chau Doc (Vietnam)

Free time at leisure for personal activities until transfer to the pier to board the shared speedboat to Chau Doc.

Enjoy a 5–6 hour river cruise to Chau Doc, with border formalities completed on board.

Upon arrival in Chau Doc, meet your local team and transfer to your hotel.

Day 10: Chau Doc – Cham Village – Tra Su Cajuput Forest – Chau Doc

80 km – 2 hours drive

Discover Chau Doc and its diverse communities, including Chinese, Cham, and Khmer cultures. The region is also known for intensive freshwater fish farming, particularly panga (Asian catfish).

  • Enjoy a boat excursion to explore floating fish farms (floating houses), where thousands of fish are raised for export. Continue with a visit to a Cham village and its mosque.
  • Visit the important pilgrimage site of Nui Sam (Sam Mountain), home to numerous temples influenced by Chinese, Cham, and Khmer traditions.
  • Transfer to the Tra Su Cajuput Forest, a flooded forest typical of the Mekong Delta. Enjoy a peaceful sampan ride through emerald-green waters surrounded by mangroves – an ideal setting for nature lovers.

Day 11: Chau Doc – Ho Chi Minh City

After breakfast, depart for Ho Chi Minh City via the Cao Lanh route. Stop to visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda, one of the most beautiful and renowned pagodas in the Mekong Delta.

Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh city – City tour – Flight - Hanoi

Approx. 2.5 hours by private car

Depart in the morning, driving through the Vietnamese countryside. Arrive in Hoa Lu, the former capital of Vietnam in the 10th century under the Dinh and Le dynasties. Visit the Dinh and Le dynastic temples.
Continue to Tam Coc, often referred to as the “Halong Bay on land,” set in an exceptional natural environment. Admire spectacular limestone karsts rising from lush green rice fields.

  • Enjoy a peaceful rowboat ride along the Ngo Dong River, passing through breathtaking scenery.

  • Its legend: Halong means “the Descending Dragon.” According to legend, a dragon descended into the bay to tame the sea currents. With the powerful sweep of its tail, it carved deep valleys into the mountains before plunging into the sea. The water level then rose, leaving only the highest peaks visible above the surface.

  • At Halong Port, board the traditional junk to begin your cruise

Day 16: Halong Bay – Cruise and overnight on board

Continue with the discovery of the Cong Do area, then cruise toward Hon Co Island to visit the Thien Canh Son Cave.

Sail back toward Cap La.
