Let’s explore the most beautiful beaches on the island.

Pattaya Beach is the main arrival point for visitors to Koh Lipe and one of the island’s most iconic beaches. It is known for its soft white sand, almost powder-like in texture, and its crystal-clear turquoise water, creating a truly tropical setting. The beach is lined with hotels, restaurants, and bars, and stretches towards Walking Street, the lively heart of Koh Lipe.

Here, visitors can enjoy a complete beach experience: swimming in warm, clear water, relaxing on the sand, or watching the sunset over the sea. For a more peaceful experience, it is recommended to head to the southern end of the beach, where swimming conditions are better and boat traffic is lighter.

Located on the eastern side of the island, Sunrise Beach is often considered the most pleasant beach for daily relaxation on Koh Lipe in Thailand, offering a perfect balance of beauty, calm, and accessibility. From Walking Street, the view opens onto a calm sea facing Koh Adang and nearby small islands such as Koh Usen and Koh Kra.

In the morning, the soft light creates a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for walking or swimming in calm waters. Although long-tail boats are anchored along parts of the beach, they add to the local charm without disturbing the experience. For the best scenery, visitors should head north towards North Point Beach, where the sand is finer and the water is shallow, sometimes revealing a sandbank at low tide.

The atmosphere here is simple and authentic, with a few bungalows, small beach bars, and clear water that is perfect for snorkeling among tropical fish and coral reefs. It is also a great choice for those wondering what to do in Koh Lipe away from the busier areas.

However, the highlight of Sunset Beach is the sunset itself. Every evening, the sky transforms into a spectacular mix of colours, creating one of the most memorable experiences on the island.
